Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met on Saturday with a Swedish Parliamentary delegation led by MP Marie Granlund.
The meeting focused on the latest developments in the Palestinian territories and following the unrest in the West bank and Gaza Strip.
Abbas renewed his call for an international conference on Middle East peace on the basis of the Arab Peace Initiative, and for forming a group like the G 5+1 for solving the Palestinian crisis.
The delegation affirmed Sweden's political and economic support for the Palestinian people and their cause.
