Friday marked another day of intense confrontations between the Palestinian youth and the Israeli occupation forces in the occupied West Bank and in the Gaza Strip where several Palestinians were injured by Israeli fire and four young Palestinians were killed.
In the district of Qalqilia, the IOF attacked the weekly protest in Kafr Qaddoum village, causing scores of residents to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation. At least 46 Palestinians were reported injured, and 198 suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation.
Local sources added that the Israeli soldiers also deliberately fired a gas bombs hitting a Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance.
As reported by IMEMC, the residents of Kafr Qaddoum have been protesting the closure of the village’s main road, with an Iron Gate, after the Israeli soldiers closed it to enable easy and faster access for the Israeli settlers driving to and from Kedumim illegal settlement, built on lands illegally confiscated from the villagers. The road was closed by the Israeli army approximately 14 years ago.
The IOF also attacked the weekly nonviolent protest against the apartheid Wall and settlements in the Bil’in village, in the Ramallah-area, wounding four, including one who suffered a head injury.
In Jerusalem, the Israeli soldiers used excessive force against dozens of Palestinians who were holding a nonviolent protest demanding the Israeli authorities to transfer the bodies of Palestinians, who were killed by the IOF, back to their families for proper burial ceremonies.
According to IMEMC, the protesters said that, by holding the bodies of the slain Palestinians, Israel is practicing a criminal act in direct violation of International Law, and all related conventions, especially since such punitive measures are collective punishment, adding that the ongoing violations will only push the Palestinians to remain steadfast in their country.
In the Gaza Strip, the IOF attacked dozens of Palestinian protesters near various border areas, wounding 47 with live rounds, and 5 with rubber-coated steel bullets, while dozens suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation
In Hebron, they shot and injured a Palestinian child with a live round in the neck. Two Palestinians were kidnapped by the IOF soldiers when invading Nablus and Jenin. Clashes also took place in Bethlehem and in Aida Refugee Camp.
In Jabal al-Mokabber, the Israeli soldiers shot and injured seven Palestinians, while dozens suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation. They also kidnapped a child in Silwan and handed five demolition orders of residential and commercial structures.
Also yesterday, the IOF killed two other Palestinians, one of them a U.S citizen, in two separate incidents in the district of Ramallah; totaling four Palestinians killed on Friday alone.
Earlier Friday, the IOF killed two young Palestinians identified as Taher Faisal Fannoun, 17, and Mustafa Fadel Fannoun, 15, in Hebron.
They also killed Abdul-Rahman Wajeeh Barghouthi, 27, in ‘Aboud village, west of Ramallah. Barghouthi was also an American citizen, where he lived with his family.
On Friday evening, the IOF soldiers killed Anas Bassam Hammad, 21, in Silwad town, east of Ramallah. They claimed that Hammad rammed into Israeli soldiers with his car, at the western entrance of Silwad.
114 Palestinians were killed by the IOF since October 1, as reported by the Palestinian Health Ministry.
