Speakers will include:

 

•Dr Peter Shambrook: Palestine during the British Mandate:  Competing Narratives, Creative Commemoration

•Judah Passow will screen a short presentation about his Promised Landsproject, which looks at the conflicting identities of Israel’s Arab citizens.

•Robert Cohen, How to mark the centenary?

•Sir Vincent Fean, KCVO. British Consul General, Jerusalem 2010-2014:  What do we want our government to do?

 

Plenary discussions on how to mark the centenary of the Balfour Declaration. Panel to be announced.

 

The exhibition Balfour and Britain’s Legacy in Palestine, which the Balfour Project was invited to present in the Scottish Parliament last year, will also be on display.
