The Freedom Flotilla Coalition calls for the first international literary contest of short stories and poems related to Palestine, for the right of return and for a decent future of the Palestinian people. In particular, we are interested in stories and poems that highlight the plight of Palestinians living in Gaza, the world’s largest open air prison, and the need to end the illegal and inhumane Israeli blockade.
The 2018 Annual Conference of the Britain Palestine Friendship and Twinning Network takes place at the Quaker Meeting on Saturday 10 February in Liverpool. Bernard Regan completed his PhD at St Mary’s University and Surrey University in 2016 having studied with Professor Nur Masalha and Dr Claire Norton. His research focussed on Palestine and the British Mandate between 1917 and 1936.
